Pascat felt similar in certain areas as the other books I’ve read (I actually started with this series before taking interest in the MM fantasy genre), it didn’t feel quite as dark as the others and the main character was also way more likeable. I’ve also read the Beautiful Monsters series by Jex Lane, but honestly it’s just way too dark with the repeating torture… (I guess I should stay away from books titled “captive” or “broken”…) Although Captive Prince by C.S.

I’ve recently read The Prince’s Assassin series by Ariana Nash which I absolutely loathed. I’m desperate for some wholesome romantic fantasy books with MM fantasy books WITHOUT torture, rape, manipulation, Stockholm syndrome, and heart-retching betrayals, to cleanse my soul.
